Rossioglossum Rawdon Jester

Hybrid: Rossioglossum grande x Rossioglossum williamsianum.

It usually blooms in June. Due to its colors, brilliant yellow with chestnut mahogany markings, together with its parents, it is also called 'tiger orchid'. Among the features shared with the parents: the upper part of the labellum, close to the center of the flowers, looks like a small fat doll or clown, inspiring a second common name, 'clown orchid'.

It was a present from Marcello's parents. Bought with flowers and the new psedobulbs in June 2013 from the "Orchideria" by Pozzi in Morosolo.
